The APX/PCC scheduler plans, schedules, and controls the entire enterprise batch workload within a heterogeneous IT environment. In addition to mainframe platforms (z/OS, OS/390, VM, VSE (native modus or under VM), OS/400 and BS2000) jobs and processes of distributed client-server systems and their applications (Windows/NT/2000/XP, Unix, SAP R/3 and SAP BW) are centrally managed and automatically scheduled by APX/PCC.

The XBP interface used by APX/PCC is SAP certified. The controller plans and controls the job execution, both within SAP NetWeaver, SAP BW, SAP CRM, and SAP IS-U. It is also possible to import all required job definitions automatically from SAP into the SQL database or to start jobs defined in SAP. Values for execution parameters are automatically determined and set in the TVARVC table. This feature saves approx. 20% to 25% of the variants in SAP reports.
Existing jobs can be transferred to the APX/PCC sequential control via corresponding interfaces or can be started via APX/PCC. Regardless of whether jobs are originally defined in other scheduling systems or created by an individual process.
